Ear Health
Did you know that our ears continue to grow as we age? Two things you
can do for ear health: 1. Massage of the ears is very healthy because
the ears contain many reflexology points just like the feet and hands.
These points help the body heal internally. 2. Have an ear coning--also
called ear candling. Cones are placed in the ears and lit on the end several
inches from the head. The smoke works as a type of vacuum to draw out
excess wax and debris from ear infections or medications. Ear coning is
very relaxing and helps with hearing problems, a build-up of ear wax and
sinus problems. Read about facts at http://www.earcone.com/

Birds Teach us about our Hearing
A songbird that loses it hearing
will stop singing. Just like humans, birds
need to hear the sound of their own voice
in order to carry a tune.
Scientists discovered several years ago that
birds and many other animals are able to
regenerate nerve cells in their inner ears
after they become damaged. If a bird is
exposed to intense sound that damages the
hair cells in the inner ear, it can hear again
in three weeks. When a hair cell is
destroyed in a bird, one of the supporting
cells receives a signal to divide and it makes
two cells.

The Power of our Words
Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist
experimented with water by freezing
it and talking to it. Because our
bodies are mostly made up of water,
he wanted to see the affect our
words have on our bodies. He
also played music to the water
and some amazing crystal forms
appeared. Music from composers
like Mozart and Bach was whole-looking
and beautiful. Heavy metal music
was fragmented and muddy looking.
A command like "Do it" turned
into something that resembles
a black hole. "Let's do it" looked
like a beautiful, clear leaf.
The most powerful words?

Fast Food Sales Climb
USA Today reports that 47% of money
Americans spend on food will be spent
in restaurants. A food development
consultant and nutritionist states that
we are geneticallly programmed to
seek fat, sugar, and salt. Because
we evolved in an environment that
was lacking in these our brain has
evolved to seek it out anywhere possible.
Most consumers would rather indulge
when they go out or take a pill rather
than change eating habits to more
healthy food consumption. Hamburgers
and french fries continue to be the
number one seller and continue to
get bigger and bigger with more fat
and calories. One burger contains
1,420 calories!

Wanna Help?
Research and find a local farmer's
market near you. Not only does
this support your local farmers,
it also encourages more organic
ways of farming. Locally grown
foods are more in sync
with your body so they are
