Tele-Medicine
I saw an interesting report on tele-health.  You can book an appointment with a doctor over the web using a web cam.  I have many opinions about this and the impersonality of the medical system that already exists.  There are instances where this could be very valuable though.

Toxins in the Home
Here is a very good article speaking about toxins and hazards within the home.
They address things like mothballs and all of the air fresheners on the market which are toxic. Be well informed: http://home.howstuffworks.com/dangerous-home-products.htm

THE 10 MENTAL HABITS OF LONG-TERM CANCER SURVIVORS
Sidney Levinsohn, a cancer survivor (I prefer the word "thriver"), has devoted his life to studying people who do survive cancer and the reasons why.  I think you will enjoy this report on mental habits.  Thank you for sharing this Sidney!
Number 9 habit is crucial for health and well-being.

THE 10 MENTAL HABITS OF LONG-TERM CANCER SURVIVORS

(That Can Slow Down, Stop and Even Reverse Chronic Illness)!

1.   Take control of your medical journey by taking control of your beliefs, thoughts, expectations and feelings.  Practice The Suspension of Damaging Beliefs Strategy as described in Witness a Miracle (Your Own!) to remove that debilitating sense of boundaries, and learn to “see” a particular challenge as merely temporary in nature.

2.   Believe in, picture, focus on, and expect recovery.  Recent scientific discoveries support the notion that you experience what you perceive; you “get” what you focus attention upon. By consciously focusing on getting well, and beyond that, on already being well, you open the door to recovery. “Many things are only impossible,” said the philosoper Duclos, “because we are accustomed to regard them as such.”

3.   Focus on what you want to happen with strong feeling, and monitor the self-imposed roadblocks that arise with critical detachment. The world you perceive is a picture of your thoughts and expectations. By monitoring your outer experiences you can uncover the inner conditions that are preventing you from achieving your full potential.

4.   Know that you are individualized consciousness, a part of Universal Consciousness and therefore a conscious co-creator in physical form. You are the co-creator in designing your life. Your future arises out of the beliefs and expectations with which you approach and envision it. To paraphrase Shakespeare, thinking makes it so, or not so.

5.   Images are important. Using Outcome-Oriented Visualization (detailed in Witness a Miracle--Your Own!) intensely picture and feel the outcome you desire while acting as if this outcome has already arrived. With heightened expectation confidently picture your body in perfect health with all parts working flawlessly in harmony. Believing is seeing. In other words, WYSIWYG (what you “see” is what you get).

6.   Be aware that at your center is spirit.  View life as not merely a precarious ladder of failure and success but as a spiritual classroom where every moment can contribute to your spiritual development. Reflect often on the dynamic spiritual life lessons(s) you have learned from even the most incidental or seemingly fortuitous events.

7.   View whatever has gone wrong in your life as a great teacher. Obstacles are beliefs, thoughts, and expectations—self-imposed. Assume responsibility for decisions about your medical treatment and life. When you examine the circumstances that your thoughts and expectations are forming it will become apparent they are challenges or life lessons you have set up for yourself. Through careful observation of such life-shaping feelings and beliefs you can learn how to use your inherent power as a conscious co-creator more effectively.

8.   Have a specific plan of action and work that plan three times daily (see Daily Action Plan in Witness a Miracle (Your Own!). Take 10 minutes per hour for YOU time.

9.   Take immediate attention to resolve emotional issues such as bitterness, anger, animosity, and resentment based on wounds you may have received in the past. These emotions are likely to fester, fouling your thoughts, sapping your energy, inhibiting growth, and increasing the likelihood that similar events will enter your life in the future.
10. Use the Dream/Prayer Strategy (described in Witness a Miracle (Your Own!) to ask for guidance, knowing inwardly that the universe will support you.  Find a new selfless mission and undertake it while mentally picture it as already achieved.
